Check Up

Taylor had her 2 month check up yesterday and she weighs 11 pounds, 14 ounces (75th percentile) and is 22.5 inches long (50th percentile). She also got 5 shots which she handled really well. One side effect is drowsiness and after she stopped crying she fell asleep for about 5 hours (that's real drowsy)!!! Here are a couple pictures of her playing.

And because we had a rough night after the shots she got to sleep in mom and dad's bed for a little while.....that makes everything better!!!

Grandpa Parker has a birthday today......Happy Birthday!!

My New Chair

Well, the back of Taylor's head is starting to get noticeably flat due to the fact she is always laying on her back and hates "tummy time". Since she holds her head up pretty well I decided to get her a bumbo chair (if you don't know what this is, it is a $40 piece of foam shaped like a little seat). She seems to like it and hopefully sitting in it will give the back of her head a chance to round out!!

2 Months Old!

Taylor turned 2 months old this past Tuesday! We go to the doctor next week for a check up, to get weighed and measured, and for her first big round of shots.....should be fun! Taylor is "talking" a lot more now, kicks her legs like crazy, and can almost hold her head up.

Sleep!!!

Although Taylor still LOVES to sleep on a pillow, she has successfully been sleeping in her crib for several weeks now. And....just this past week she started sleeping for about 6-7 hours straight at night! (I hope I just didn't jinx us by announcing our successful sleep habits to the world)

I love my bunny.......it tastes so good!

Happy Birthday Great-Grandma

Taylor's Great-Grandma Parker turned 80 on Saturday and we had a surprise party for her. Uncle David, Uncle Andy, and Great Aunt Dodie all came from Florida/Georgia for the party (and to see Taylor). Here's Taylor and Great Grandma!This is the best picture we could get of Taylor and cousin Ashton. He just turned 1 (as you can see) and is a little too busy to be posing for pictures!!

A Happy Baby!

Taylor woke up in a great mood today and was smiling all morning so I decided I would try and catch a smile on camera. I took many pictures and ended up with a bunch of funny faces...

Going to Kindergarten and Other Fun Stuff

I took Taylor to school to visit my Kindergarten class for the first time since she was born. They were all very excited to see us both. I forgot how funny these kids can be. They were really interested in how Taylor got out of my belly (which I didn't really answer)!! Here she is heading off to school and a one of the many "treasures" she came home with. In case you can't tell that is Taylor as a "sleeping robot"!

She is really enjoying her play mat a lot now. It has a flashing, musical star that mesmerizes her. Taylor can also hold and shake a rattle now!

Here she is checking out her tongue in the mirror and also watching the Sox home opener on tv (sometimes baseball is boring to watch)!

Spring Break

Well, last year we spent Spring Break in sunny Huatulco, Mexico with 6 friends...this year was quite different!! Mom and Taylor spent a couple days at Grandma and Grandpa Parker's house, we visited Camden three times, and finally had weather warm enough to go for a couple walks outside.
