3rd Birthday Fun!

Here's a picture of Taylor's Dairy Queen cake that we had at her party Saturday night.

 Grandma and Grandpa Larkins came over earlier in the day and brought Taylor this new vacuum.  She loves it (and her dress up clothes too)!

 On her actual birthday, Oma and I took Taylor to the mall. She loves to go there so it was a great way to spend the afternoon. She played on all the cars, boats, etc.  She does not like when they move, so it is cheap entertainment!

 We had lunch

 and rode the carousel (3 times)!

 Later in the afternoon, Grandma and Grandpa Parker came over too and we all went to Bob Evan's (Taylor's choice) for dinner.  Then when we got home she got to open more presents!  Grandma and Grandpa got her a bike!

Ben's Pictures - 6 Months

I took Ben's 6 month pictures a few weeks ago, but he was not really into it.  I had a hard time getting him to crack a smile.  However, I got a little smile on this picture.....

Taylor saw this and said, "Why does Ben have a scarf on?  And his boobs are out!"  She didn't seem to care that he was also grabbing himself.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Taylor!!!

Three years ago we welcomed Taylor into the world!!!  She has become such a smart, funny, and creative little girl. She loves to play anything that has to do with pretending.  She has quite the imagination!!!

Since we didn't have school today, Oma and I took Taylor and Ben to the mall.  She LOVES going to the mall.  We hit all the "hot spots"....we played in the cars/trucks, ate lunch, threw pennies in the fountain, played in the play area, got M&M's, rode the carousel, the elevator, and the escalator!!!  When we got home she puked!  First time ever!  She wasn't sick, I think it was from the 3 carousel rides combined with her lunch of M&M's and apple juice!  After we got her bathed and cleaned up she was ready to go to Bob Evan's for dinner (her choice).  We had a really fun day!  I plan to add pictures from today and her party on Saturday later this week.

6 Months Old

Ben turned 6 months old this week....it's going so fast!  He weighs 18 lbs. 10 oz. (75th percentile) and is 27 3/4 inches (90th percentile).  His sleeping is still sporadic (at best), but he has had a couple good nights in a row so we are hopeful!!!  We've started some solid foods with him, but he really doesn't care for them too much.  He definitely prefers the fruits over the veggies.  He sits up really well on his own now and can move around on his belly a little bit, but can't get up on his knees yet.  He has discovered that his sister can be quite entertaining and it's fun to see her make him laugh.  He also does whatever it takes to get a good view of Mickey Mouse when Taylor has that on TV!

We had school cancelled three days this week so we stayed at home and played with the camera!  Taylor was the one who surprisingly wanted me to take pictures....I actually got some cute ones of her!

Papa the Snowman

Here is our snowman!  Taylor named him Papa (and I have no idea why).  We made Papa over the weekend before the "blizzard" came, so hopefully he is still doing well out there!
