5 Months Old

Taylor turned 5 months old while we were on vacation. Since the big bear did not make the trip we had to get the monthly picture when we got home. Taylor can now sit up by herself for several minutes before she tips over. We can see her back getting stronger everyday and her balance is getting better too. She is developing quite a little personality and smiles and laughs at pretty much everything!!!!

We gave her some rice cereal the other night for the first time. She was pretty indifferent towards it. I think she really liked chewing on the spoon!!! We tried to take some pictures but it was pretty uneventful!!
Now that she is sitting she likes to empty all the toys out of the basket. She takes them out one by one, puts it in her mouth, then tosses it to the side. She works so hard at it and it takes a long time (which I like)!

Vacation - Part 1

On the first part of our vacation, Troy, Taylor, and I drove down to North Carolina to stay a couple nights with Troy's old roommate Dave and his wife Chris. We spent Friday out on Lake Norman with Chris and Dave and some of my family. Taylor took her first boat ride and got to meet her cousins Aevan and Madison for the first time. We then left Saturday morning for Myrtle Beach.Driving the boat

Dave, Greylock, Taylor, and Chris (and the Purdue Flag)

Part 2

The majority of our trip was spent in North Myrtle Beach, SC for the 26th annual Eisele Family Beach Week. Taylor loved the pool and the sand, and even liked sitting at the edge of the ocean. She developed a loud shriek this week and loved to "yell" at everyone. There were so many cousins to be around and play with that I think she is going to be bored now at home! I had so many pictures I just picked out some for a slideshow.

Part 3

On the last leg of our trip we spent time in Atlanta with Uncle David. We left Myrtle Beach on Saturday morning and got to Atlanta that afternoon (a 6 hour drive). We hung out with David on Saturday evening and Sunday. We also got to visit our cousins Scott and Lauren's new baby boy Gray. He was born on July 24 (my b-day too)!!! Here is Taylor and Gray and their Grandmas!!!

David and Taylor

For the entire trip we spent about 30 hours in the car! Taylor did great the whole time except for about 20 minutes on our way to North Carolina. It was a fun vacation....we can't believe how much she grew and changed in the week and a half we were on vacation!

Friends and Fun Stuff

I got together with the girls I lived with and played basketball with in college this week. Four out of the five of us have babies. We tried our best to get a picture of them together...I didn't think this was too bad! From the left: Camden (3 mos. and Shannon's), Taylor (4 mos.), Kylie (10 mos. and Amy's), and Whitney (13 mos. and Kara's).
Taylor can finally get her feet in her mouth....she is sucking on her big toe, I hope it is everything she hoped it would be!!!
She is also really into blowing bubbles....here is a short video of it.

Pool Party!

We had a pool party today at my Grandma and Grandpa's house. My cousin Ashton was there to swim with me!
"Hey, I like your boat!"
Loving Aunt Marcy's watering can!
Sitting in the shade with Great Grandma

Almost....

I have been working soooo hard at getting my toes in my mouth. I almost have it!!!
I also have my own seat at the kitchen table now....I can last about 10 minutes in it!
Just being cute!

Trip to Minnesota

We left last Wednesday for a trip to Minnesota to visit Troy's family and hang out at their lake cabin. We drove to Chicago, flew to Minneapolis, then drove up to the lake. It was a lot of traveling, but Taylor did great!! We had a great time just hanging out and relaxing, playing washers, and tubing! Taylor had fun being with cousin Sophie and like before, Sophie took good care of Taylor....she just really wanted her to walk!!!
