The Past Week

We've had a busy week/weekend! Last Thursday, Taylor's friends Aubrey and Camden came over to play. The had fun playing with the sand table, taking a walk outside, playing inside, and eating popsicles!!
We'll follow you, Aubs!
Popsicle break
Thursday afternoon we left for a long weekend in Chicago. Troy was in his friend's wedding on Saturday and Friday we went to the Sox/Cubs game with Rick, Cyndi, and Blake.
Then today we hit up the zoo. It wasn't even 70 degrees out...notice the long sleeves. Taylor LOVED the goats today. Here she is saying "hi" to them!
She literally petted every goat in the place. She would run from goat to goat and just give them a little tap then run to the next one. This is the best I could do for a picture because she was all over the place. It was pretty funny!
Lastly, Daddy is proud of his little builder. Taylor got these blocks from Grandpa and Grandma Larkins for her birthday and finally has figured out how to build stuff.
She built this whole thing by herself!!! It's not looking too structurally sound, but Daddy can help her with that!

Splash Park!!

Taylor and Camden went to the Splash Park at the YMCA yesterday afternoon!
We had fun playing in the water!
I think she was trying to "drink" it off her hand.
Taking a snack/picture break!
Let us out!!!

16 Months

Taylor turned 16 months old yesterday! She really is getting to be more of a toddler each day and less like a baby. Her favorite things to do right now is just wander and explore, emptying things, putting things where I can't find them, and rearranging the pantry. She loves to be outside! Taylor can say quite a few words without prompting now...hi, bye, mama, dada, puppy, baby, juice, out, hot, please, dog, ok, and whoa! She can also mimic lots of things and names we say. She still is not much of an eater, but is still a GREAT sleeper (12-13 hours at night and one 3 hour nap)!! She has 5 teeth, and I think #6 is coming soon. Here are a couple cute pictures from the park yesterday.

We tried out the sprinkler for the first time. I think she liked the whole concept of the sprinkler, but wasn't really into the cold water. She didn't really like being in it, but wouldn't walk away from it either!

David's Wedding and Father's Day

We flew down to Atlanta for my brother David's wedding. The wedding was held at a really nice place called Callaway Gardens, which is also where we stayed. It was HOT there....around 100 every day, but we still had a great time. Taylor's trip started off great at the Toledo airport. They had an awesome play area for kids!
We hit the beach one afternoon!
Trying to stay hydrated in the heat!
Taylor had fun swimming and she even went all the way under a couple times (not on purpose).
After the wedding ceremony
Mommy and Taylor
Daddy and Taylor (wanting down to run around)

Troy and I
The new couple
Andy and Traci (Taylor could say both their names after the weekend)
Some great babysitters!
The cake....best tasting cake ever!
And...our little Father's Day celebration. Since we spent the majority of the day traveling, we just had pizza and gave Troy his new pair of running shoes (to chase Taylor)!!

Wild in the Water

We went to the pool today and Taylor had the best time with an empty applesauce cup. She poured water on her head over and over again and thought she was soooo funny!!!

The Zoo

Oma and Opa came to visit Friday and Saturday so we went to the zoo! Here's Taylor playing the drums in the African village.
watching the monkeys
waiting for the sea lions to swim by
"I think you have something in your eye!"
I am not going to brush the goat!!

Balancing Act

What? Is there something on my head?

The Weekend

We had a lot of fun this weekend. We went to the pool both Saturday and Sunday.
Taylor hitched some rides from the neighbor kids. She has also fallen in love with their powerwheel vehicles!
We worked on puzzles.
And played with cars.
We did all this while Daddy was building a retaining wall in the front of the house!
Doesn't it look great?

Crazy Hair

Taylor has had some crazy hair lately. This is after a nap one day!
