Lincoln Park Zoo and the beach

On Monday we went to Lincoln Park Zoo.

Taylor found the carousel pretty early into the trip.

Later that evening we walked down to the beach along Lake Michigan.

So surprised to see Daddy get his feet in the water!

It took us forever to get her off the beach. She sat and watched people play sand volleyball for at least 15 minutes!

Chicago Children's Museum, Navy Pier, Friends

Last Sunday we went to the Chicago Children's Museum. It was a really nice place and I think Taylor really enjoyed it. Here she is building with Daddy.

After we ate lunch we walked around Navy Pier. I love her face in this one....she was watching the "big swings" and was very surprised to see how high they go.

Later Sunday we met up with the Krupa's for dinner and then some ice cream!

Chicago

We recently spent about 4 days in Chicago for a "mini-vacation". Friday night we went up to the rooftop of Uncle Blake's apartment for a birthday party for him. Taylor loved it because he lives right by the "L" so a train came by every 8 minutes!

Saturday we stayed at Oma and Opa's house and went swimming.

We also went into the city for several other fun things....I'll add pictures later!

Zoo Trip

We made a trip to the zoo today with April, Shannon, Camden, and Cohen. Taylor took her first pony ride!

S'mores and Swimming

We had a fun Father's Day weekend at home doing some of Daddy's favorite things. Friday night we cooked out hot dogs and s'mores over the fire. This was Taylor's first s'more and although she told us how good it was she only ate a couple bites.

Seth and Carter came over to see us, too. Taylor LOVES to "take care" of Carter.

On Saturday and Sunday we went to the pool. Taylor has been pretty wimpy about getting in the pool all summer, but she finally got comfortable this weekend. She

could swim all over the place in this float and was so proud to be swimming by herself! I'm hoping this continues because it makes going to the pool more fun and it wears her out soooo much that she takes long naps!!!

Summer Break!

I was finally done with school on Monday so Taylor and I have been enjoying our summer break! We went to storytime at the library on Tuesday morning and then Taylor had to have "pretend storytime" with her babies all day. Here she is driving her baby to storytime (notice baby in the carseat in back).

We babysat our friend Carter one day. Taylor thought it was funny to give him a "tail". (Don't worry Charity, she's not pulling as hard as it looks!)
We spent a long time decorating the driveway with chalk and paint!

And of course we've been relaxing at the pool!
