Near the public beach they have a huge fountain area.  Both kids got in and checked it out.

Bonfire

We had really nice weather this weekend so Saturday night we made a fire in the fire pit (since Taylor had been asking for days).  We had fun just playing out back around the fire pit and on the swing set.

 Taylor roasting her marshmallow....which she never ate.  She likes to have the crackers, chocolate, and non-roasted marshmallows all separate on her plate!

10 Months!

Ben turned 10 months old this week.....I can't believe he is almost a year old!  He has a normal crawling style now and can pull himself up.  He can clap and also waves in his own unique way.  He got 3 more teeth this month so he has 7 in all (Taylor had 7 teeth at 20 months!).  His hair is getting much blonder and yes, we have an appointment to get a trim!  He loves to eat....don't put him in the highchair unless you have food ready!  He likes fruits, chicken noodle soup, and most breakfast foods the best.

It's a....

BOY!!!  He was being a little modest, but we got a good enough peek to see that we are having another boy! My due date is October 28th and everything is looking good!!!

Weekend in Crown Point

We spent the weekend in Crown Point visiting Troy's family.  There is a house being built right next door to Grandma and Grandpa Larkins so we had to try out the bulldozer that was there.

 Ben found a great spot to hang out, squished in between the end table and the couch....he thought it was great!

 We went swimming with Oma and Opa.  Their kiddie pool is really shallow and Ben loved "swimming" in it.  It's hard to tell from the picture, but he would keep his hands down and lift his legs up and float.

Fun in the Sand

We have both the sand and water table filled up now and the big sandbox under the swingset.  Both kids LOVE playing in the sand.  I just wish I could get Ben to stop trying to eat it!!!

Butterflies

We "grew" butterflies at our house this spring.  We started with 4 tiny caterpillars and ended up with 4 butterflies...they all survived!  Taylor had fun watching the changes.  Here are some pictures of when we let our butterflies go.
